So, You’re Getting Your First Massage

Maybe your shoulders have been staging a full-blown protest. Maybe someone gifted you a session and now you're cautiously curious. Or maybe it’s just time to finally give your body a little love. Whatever the reason, I’m glad you’re here.

If this is your first massage, you don’t need to overthink it. You don’t need to know how it all works. You just need to arrive a few minutes early, breathe, and let the rest unfold. Here’s what to expect when you visit our boutique spa in Silverdale.

Before you even walk through the door

You’ll complete a quick intake form online beforehand, if you prefer no clipboards or rushed paperwork when you arrive. Just come a few minutes early so you have time to settle in and we’ll take a few moments to talk about how your body’s feeling and what you’d like to get out of your session.

Let’s talk comfort (and clothes)

You’ll undress to your comfort level, and yes, that line does mean something here. Most clients either go fully undressed or keep their underwear bottoms on. Either way is totally fine. You’ll be covered with soft sheets the entire time, and only the area being worked on is uncovered, with intention and care.

I want you to be able to relax fully, so we’ll also adjust the table heat if needed. Your comfort isn’t an afterthought — it’s the foundation.

You’ve got options

This isn’t just a “massage”; you’ll choose from a variety of treatments like deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone, or signature massage. You can also add things like CBD oil, a foot soak, or magnesium-infused massage oil for even more support.

Before we begin, we’ll talk through your preferences and areas of focus. During the massage, I’ll check in to make sure the pressure feels right and you’re comfortable throughout. I encourage you to speak up if something isn’t working for you or if something feels especially good. This is your time, your body, and your session.

Unless you request otherwise, I always include a full-body massage and give extra attention to the areas that need it most.

Do I need to talk?

Nope. I typically keep sessions quiet so you can drop in and fully relax — but I’ll always follow your lead. If you feel like chatting, we can chat. If you drift off into silence, that’s perfect too. There’s no script to follow here.

After your session

You might feel lighter, sleepier, or more grounded. As if your nervous system had taken a long exhale. That’s the goal. Give yourself space to re-enter the world gently. Hydrate, take a walk, and remember what it feels like to feel good in your body.

If you're ready for your first massage, I’ll make sure it feels natural, nourishing, and completely yours.
